DraftObama.org hits Colorado

  •
  • by: TheDeminator

Wednesday was the official launch of the DraftObama.org petition drive, and the response has been overwhelming. We’ve had thousands of hits to www.draftobama.org – many sending a message to Senator Barack Obama urging him to run for President now – and we’re just getting started.

Right now, Senator Barack Obama is considering whether or not he should run for President, but he needs to know that there are many like us who need him now.  That’s why I’m writing to ask for your help, because time is of the essence.
Sign the petition!

If you haven’t already, please go to www.draftobama.org and sign our petition.  While you’re there, share your story and tell Barack Obama why you need him to run for President.

Tell your friends!

If you have friends and family who support Senator Obama too, tell them about www.draftobama.org, sharing your story and urging them to join with you to sound our chorus of support now.
Join our team!

If you have time to volunteer, we need folks to help us reach out to local and national blogs, activist listservs, and any group with an interest in politics and public service to spread the word about www.draftobama.org. If you are able to commit anything from 10 minutes to forward this email on to your listservs or two hours to plan petition drives in your community, please email us at volunteer@draftobama.org. Let us know what you can do for the draftobama.org to help us get out the word.

In New Hampshire/New England on Dec. 10?
If you are in New Hampshire or New England, we need your help next weekend. We want to raise awareness of our www.draftobama.org movement when the Senator is in the state.
Sponsor our internet advertisements!

We are 100% staffed by volunteers, and have an extremely small budget. However, to help get the word out to those who are not typically involved in political or public service causes, we’d like to expand our rather small google advertisement budget and internet site and blog advertising budget.  Can you sponsor an ad on a blog in New Hampshire or Iowa?

Can you send a check to expand the number of clickthroughs we can get on popular internet search engines?  We’re even considering running radio advertisements in early primary states.  Your $10, $50, or $1,000 can go so far and help us reach so many more people.  You can become a sponsor for our fundraiser in Washington, DC, let me know.
Spread the word to the bloggosphere!

If you blog, can you help us get the word about DraftObama.org by posting your thoughts about why Senator Barack Obama should run now, not later.

We also have a blog on our site: www.draftobama.org, where your posts are always welcome.
Thank you for sharing our belief that Barack Obama’s vision for America is vital to our country today, his Audacity of Hope message is inspiring, and his contributions to the public square are needed in the form of a run for President.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me (AndySzekeres@gmail.com) or Ben (ben@draftobama.org), the founder of DraftObama.org.
Best wishes, and thanks for considering Barack Obama NOW.
